Why I Named My Dairy-Free Healthy Ice Cream Brand Sugar Tits

Why I Named My Dairy-Free Healthy Ice Cream Brand Sugar Tits

Let’s get one thing out of the way: yes, the name Sugar Tits makes people do a double-take. That’s exactly the point.

When I started this plant-based dessert brand, I knew I didn’t want it to blend in with everything else on the freezer shelf. I wanted to make something unforgettable. Something that tasted insanely good and had a whole lot of personality wrapped up in it. I also wanted to challenge the way we think about food, indulgence, and what’s considered “appropriate.” So I leaned into boldness. And humor. And a hefty dose of irony. Sugar Tits was born.

The Ironic Truth

Here’s the kicker: there’s no dairy in Sugar Tits. No processed sugar either. It’s completely plant-based, made from a luscious blend of coconuts and cashews, and sweetened naturally with things like dates and maple syrup. The name? It’s the total opposite of what’s actually inside the pint.

That’s the joke. And it makes me giggle every time.

I wanted a name that felt cheeky and rebellious, because wellness can be fun. Clean eating doesn’t have to be sterile, serious, or wrapped in beige packaging that whispers about superfoods. It can be pink. It can be loud. It can wear lipstick and laugh too hard and dance in the kitchen while you’re making dinner. That’s the whole energy behind Sugar Tits.

Reclaiming the Narrative

Let’s be honest about something. “Sugar tits” has been used in the past as a dismissive, sexist phrase. I thought: what if I take that, flip it, and make it empowering instead? What if it became a symbol for joy, for flavor, for nourishment, for rebellion against diet culture and fake food?

Suddenly, it wasn’t just a funny name. It was a whole mood.

It’s Not Just Ice Cream

At the heart of Sugar Tits is something deeper than dessert: real food made with real intention. I’m a Reiki Master, which means every batch gets infused with calming, healing energy. That might sound a little woo-woo to some people, but energy matters. Intention matters. And if I can pack that goodness into a dessert that also tastes like actual heaven? Then that’s a win on every possible level.

So, Why Sugar Tits?

Because it’s playful.

Because it’s unexpected.

Because it’s the opposite of what’s inside.

Because it’s an invitation not to take yourself so seriously.

Because it’s a wink, a nod, and a full-on belly laugh in a world that needs more of all three.

And mostly?

Because it makes me happy.

And I hope it makes you happy, too.

Now go grab a spoon and dig in. 💋
